ǿմý Summer Theatre Opens Season with “Forever Plaid”

Posted Jun 05, 2024

Westerville, OH—The 2024 ǿմý Summer Theatre season opens with a loving tribute to the harmonically dazzling ‘guy groups’ of the 1950s, the musical “Forever Plaid,” with performances at 7:30 p.m. from June 6-8 and June 13-15, and 2 p.m. on June 9 and June 15 in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville. Tickets cost $33. Call 614-823-1109 or visit.

Based on the popular all-male singing groups of the 1950s, this the story of Sparky, Smudge, Jinx, and Frankie, aka “The Plaids,” as they perform the concert that never was. Singing in close harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations, and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with overzealous precision, The Plaids will entertain you with classic hits including “Magic Moments,” “Heart and Soul,” and “Catch a Falling Star.” Experience the magic and nostalgia of the golden age of rock and roll in “Forever Plaid.”

The ǿմý Summer Theatre Box Office is open Tuesday-Friday from 12-4 p.m., and one hour prior to all performances. It is located in Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville. For more information about ǿմý Summer Theatre and the 2024 Season, please call 614-823-1109 or visit .
